 The first thing you will notice when you arrive at Heelalong Kennels is that it looks more like an English country estate than a boarding kennel. You will recognize us by our red brick wall inset with wrought iron panels and electric gate. Follow the driveway up to the kennel. No matter the season, the grass is usually green. Our grounds contain numerous trees which provide shade for the dogs when they are outside being exercised. Most of the year there are flowers in bloom in front of the house and kennel building. Occasionally, one or more dogs will greet you at the front gate. If our dogs are loose, please drive slowly. A magic eye tells us that there is someone coming through the gate and we will call the dogs. The next thing you will notice about Heelalong Kennels is the QUIET. Dogs bark when they are under stress. Dogs staying in our kennel are stress-free; therefore they have no reason to bark. Our clients tell us that our kennel is the quietest kennel in which they have ever left their dogs. If you would like to take a tour of the kennel we will be happy to oblige. Come and see for yourself how quiet and relaxed the dogs are that stay at Heelalong. Once you’ve seen our kennels you’ll want to stay here YOURSELF! Always call ahead to make sure someone is here. The electric gate is locked whenever we leave, for the security of the dogs that are staying here.
